All cars that compete in the main competition classes are road legal (taxed, MoT’d and insured). There is also a “Pro-drag” class for the drag specific cars. All entrants are welcome, if their cars are quick enough – many of the entries are home built by their owners and others represent the cream of the UK’s tuners.

Who are Team Vauxsport?

Vauxsport.com was founded in 2006 by John ‘Tathan’ Jones and supported by Simon ‘Chip’ Comins – it was set up as an alternative to some of the other club sites that were lacking in good solid advice on performance Vauxhall’s. It soon became the home of the Vauxhall TOTB team (officially known as Team Vauxsport) and is still by far the best place to go if you need advice on making your Vauxhall go faster, stop harder or grip better!

Team Vauxsport have been brought together over the last few years by Chip – past entries have all been based around Nova’s, Corsa’s, Tigra’s and Astra’s – the cars are built and maintained by their owners and have consistently got faster and faster each year!

The first Vauxhall to appear at TOTB was Rob Twitchell’s Mk2 Astra back in 2005 – at the time it was running a C20XE on throttle bodies and performed well. In 2006 Chip managed to pull together a 5 car team – this time joined by a couple of Mk2 Astra’s (belonging to Neil Adams / Russ Paton), the famous Purple Corsa (owned by Gary Doggett and Andy Golding) and another Corsa (owned by Phil Sutton of JNC).
